Daily Bread: Faith That Moves Before the Rain

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“By FAITH, Noah—warned by God about things NOT YET SEEN—in OBEDIENCE prepared an ark to SAVE his family; and by that faith he condemned the world and was appointed to receive righteousness, in accordance with his faith.”
(Hebrews 11:7)

“Noah’s faith” speaks powerfully of a faith accompanied by obedience BEFORE SEEING THE OUTCOME.

God spoke of something NOT YET SEEN —a flood was coming and water would fall from the sky—and commanded Noah to build the ark (Genesis 6:13–18).

This is important: faith does not begin with what our eyes see, but with what God has spoken.
Romans 10:17: “FAITH comes from HEARING, and hearing by the word of Christ.”

Noah had a basis for obedience and action—not because his surrounding circumstances were favorable, but because God had spoken.

Perhaps today we find ourselves in a season like Noah’s: we have not yet seen the “rain,” but we have heard the Word of the Lord.

Noah was not saved because he could foresee the future. He was saved because he believed God and acted upon His word.

Noah built the ark before the rain fell.

Perhaps our “ark” today is: forgiving someone, remaining faithful in our family, breaking free from a sinful habit, continuing to serve, pray, give, or work with integrity—or taking a step that God has clearly placed on our hearts through His Word.

Do not wait until you see everything to begin obeying.
Obey what the Lord has already said.

For often, “today’s obedience” is God’s preparation for the salvation, purpose, and work He has in store for us—things we cannot yet see ahead.

Prayer:
Lord,
I believe that You are the all-knowing God; You see what I do not yet see.
Help me to be able to hear Your Word, to believe it, and to do it. Make my life a godly testimony to my family and the people around me.
