Daily Bread: Forgiven and Remembered No More

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“For BY ONE SACRIFICE HE HAS PERFECTED FOREVER THOSE WHO HE SANCTIFYED. And of this THE HOLY SPIRIT ALSO GIVES US WITNESS, for after He had said: “This is the covenant that I will make with them after that time,” He said also: “I will PUT MY LAW IN THEIR HEARTS AND WRITE IT IN THEIR WINDS, AND I WILL BE NO MORE REMEMBERING their sins and mistakes.””
(Hebrews 10:14-17 ESV)

“The Holy Spirit also bears witness to us”

It’s so amazing.
Salvation is not only something that is preached from outside, but to us the Holy Spirit bears witness within our hearts about the truth of Christ’s work.

The Holy Spirit helps us understand that:
* our forgiveness is real,
* our relationship with God has been restored,
* God’s law is now at work in our hearts,
* we no longer need to live with the guilt of forgiven sin,
* and that God no more remembering our sins and iniquities.

If we have trusted in Jesus Christ by faith, we can stand in this truth:
My sins have been forgiven. My guilt has been borne by Christ. I no longer live under the condemnation of the Law but under the grace of God. Amen.

Thanksgiving:
Lord Jesus…
I thank You for Your one perfect sacrifice on the cross. Thank You that through Your sacrifice I have been made holy and all my sins have been forgiven. And I believe that the living God is no longer remembering my sins and iniquities.
Forever I want to live by faith, by Your grace.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your blood, for Your perfect forgiveness.
Amen.
