Daily Bread: Faith That Waits, Hope That Endures

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”
‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬-‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The writer of Hebrews points to Abraham as the supreme example of a believer who inherited God’s promises through faith and patient endurance (Hebrews 6:12).

For God Himself Guarantees His Promises – “He swore by Himself”.
Unlike human promises, which can fail because people change or lack the ability to fulfill them, God’s promises rest on His perfect faithfulness and His unlimited power.

What sustained Abraham was not the strength of his own faith, but the certainty of God’s character. God did not merely make a promise—He guaranteed it by swearing by Himself. Since there is no authority greater than God, His own unchanging nature stands behind every promise He has made.

Perhaps today you are waiting for God’s direction, healing, provision, restoration, or breakthrough. Remember that delays do not mean denial. God’s silence is not His absence, and His timing is never random. While you wait, He is strengthening your faith and shaping your character.

Like Abraham, continue to trust the One who cannot lie. The God who made the promise is the God who will fulfill it in His perfect way and at His perfect time.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me. Help me to trust You even when I cannot yet see the fulfillment of what You have spoken. Give me faith to believe, patience to endure, and confidence that You will accomplish everything You have promised according to Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bless you
