😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? Now WITH WHOM WAS HE ANGRY FORTY YEARS? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? So we see that THEY COULD NOT ENTER IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF.”
(Hebrews 3:16-19 NKJV)
The Israelites were delivered from Egypt, but many never entered Canaan. Their greatest obstacle was not Pharaoh, the wilderness, or the giants in the land. Their greatest obstacle was an unbelieving heart.
God had already promised them the land, yet they chose to trust what they saw rather than what God had spoken. Fear became greater than faith.
The same danger exists today. We may know God’s promises, attend church, read Scripture, and remember past blessings, yet still struggle to trust Him in present circumstances. When we allow fear, doubt, or human reasoning to outweigh God’s Word, we begin walking the same path as Israel.
Hebrews reminds us that God’s rest is entered through faith. THE QUESTION IS NOT WHETHER GOD IS FAITHFUL, but WHETHER WE WILL TRUST HIM ENOUGH TO OBEY.
May we choose to believe God’s promises more than our fears. Trust His Word even when circumstances seem contrary.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me not to repeat the mistakes of Israel by doubting Your promises. Give me a heart that trusts Your Word, obeys Your voice, and follows You faithfully. When fear and uncertainty arise, teach me to look to Your faithfulness rather than my circumstances. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Bless you
