😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our Apostle and High Priest. He was faithful to the One who appointed Him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are His house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory until the end.”
— Hebrews 3:1–6
The writer of Hebrews was speaking to the Jewish people who highly honored Moses. Moses was a great prophet, the leader of Israel, and a faithful servant of God. Yet the Word of God clearly declares:
“Jesus has been found WORTHY OF GREATER HONOR THAN MOSES.” (Hebrews 3:3).
Many people admire spiritual figures, leaders, traditions, or religious systems. But the Christian faith is centered on Jesus, the Son of God — not on human beings or religious systems. Moses was faithful, but Jesus is perfect. Therefore, the writer of Hebrews says:
“Fix your thoughts on Jesus…” (v.1)
In the midst of life’s challenges, do not focus only on people or circumstances, but turning the eyes of your heart toward and fix on Jesus Christ, because He is:
* The Apostle sent by God,
* The High Priest who understands us,
* The Son of God who remains faithful to the very end.
And the Word of God reminds us:
“We are His house, if indeed we hold firmly…” (v.6)
Faithfulness to Christ must be preserved until the end.
Prayer:
O Lord, have mercy and enable me, as Your house, to remain steadfast in holding on to faith and hope in Christ until the end of my life. Amen.
Bless you
