Daily Bread: Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“So He became as much superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, ‘You are My Son; today I have begotten You’? Or again, ‘I will be His Father, and He will be My Son’?”
(Hebrews 1:4–5)

In this world, many people seek spiritual experiences, supernatural power, and even hope to see angels. Yet the book of Hebrews reminds us of something far greater than all these: WE HAVE JESUS.

Although angels are glorious beings, powerful and holy, they are still created beings sent as servants to carry out God’s purposes (Hebrews 1:14). But Jesus is not a servant in that sense—HE IS THE SON. The “name” He has received is not merely a title; it reveals His identity and His relationship with God the Father. When Scripture says, “You are My Son,” it declares a unique and eternal relationship that no angel has ever had.

Angels reflect God’s glory, but Jesus is the radiance of that glory itself. This is crucial for our faith. Because if Jesus is the Son, then His word carries the highest authority. The salvation He accomplished is fully sufficient. And His presence is more than enough for us.

So do not be satisfied with lesser things—even good spiritual experiences.
FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS CHRIST.

I honor Jesus and worship Him,
for He is the One who redeemed my life to belong to Him—
He is the eternal Son of God. Amen.

Bless you
