Daily Bread: God Still Speaks—Are We Listening?

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“In the past GOD SPOKE to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and IN VARIOUS WAYS.”
‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

Hebrews 1:1 affirms that from the beginning, God is the living personality who takes the initiative to speak. He is not silent. He is the God who seeks, who calls, who reveals Himself. It was the Lord who first approached and called Adam and Eve when they had sinned and were hiding among the trees—“But the Lord God CALLED to the man, ‘Where are you?’”
(Genesis 3:9)

The good God seeks humanity and desires us to have fellowship with Him and to know Him. That is why, from ancient times, God spoke to our forefathers “in various ways” → through different means:
* Direct word (Gen. 12:1)
* Dreams and visions (Gen. 28:12; Isa. 6:1)
* The Law (Exod. 20)
* History and events (Psalm 78)
* Symbols and rituals (Leviticus)

And today, He still speaks—through His Word, through the Holy Spirit, and through our daily lives.

The problem is not that God is silent, but that people are often too occupied to listen.

We live in a time filled with many voices: social media, busyness, and worries about the future. In the midst of all this, God’s voice is often drowned out—not because He has stopped speaking, but because we have stopped listening.

Today, God is still saying:
“Be still, I want you to know Me.”

The question is simple:
Do we make room in our hearts and time to hear His voice?

Right now at this moment God is speaking to your heart:
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
(Psalm 46:10)

Prayer:
Lord, teach me to be sensitive to Your voice. In the midst of the busyness and noise of life, may You lead me back to Your Word, that I may know You deeper. Amen.

Bless you
