Daily Bread: Leading Others as Christ Leads You

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“And you masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.”
(Ephesians 6:9)

The world teaches that the higher a person’s position, the greater their right to control and demand. But from the perspective of God’s Word, a business owner, leader, employer, or superior is actually called to reflect the heart of God—especially in how they treat those under their authority.

If you are a business owner or a manager, be wise in your words, decisions, and even your tone of voice—because all of these shape the emotional atmosphere of others. Threatening words may produce temporary obedience, but they never produce a willing heart. On the other hand, understanding, appreciation, and fairness create space for trust to grow, foster loyalty, and even increase productivity.

This passage also gently yet firmly reminds us that regardless of our position, we are all equal before God.

Today, if God has entrusted you with leadership (as a business owner, CEO, manager, etc.) and placed people under your care, reflect on this: Do they see the love of Christ through your attitude?

Therefore, Biblical Teachings:
• Christian leadership = responsibility, not domination
• Authority = an opportunity to serve, not to oppress
• All people = equal before God

O Lord, enable Your servant to lead with divine wisdom—not with manipulation, but with grace, justice and fairness. Remind me that You are Lord over everyone, regardless of position. Amen.

Bless you
