😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
Church, when people ask, “Why are there small differences in Bible manuscripts?”
Firstly do not panic. But you may respond with another question: “Have you noticed who God usually uses?”
Moses killed a man—yet God used him to deliver a nation.
Abraham lied—yet God called him the father of faith.
Noah got drunk—yet God preserved humanity through him.
David committed adultery and arranged murder—yet God still brought the Messiah through his family line.
Peter was ruled by fear and denied Jesus—yet he became the rock who preached at Pentecost.
Paul persecuted and killed Christians—yet God turned him into the greatest missionary of the early church.
Now think about this:
God entrusted His Word to human hands.
Those hands were not perfect—just like Moses’ hands, David’s heart, or Peter’s courage.
And yes, small copyist mistakes happened.
But the main message was never lost.
Why?
Because the power was never in the human hands—it was in God.
Just as God allowed small human imperfections in copying and transmitting few verses in the Scripture yet without losing its truth, He also works through broken people without losing His purpose.
* The flaws highlight the grace.
* The weakness magnifies the power.
God never waited for perfect people to accomplish a perfect plan.
Therefore the authenticity of Bible is not a story of perfect humans preserving God’s Word.
It is the story of a perfect God faithfully preserving His truth—and redeeming imperfect people—at the same time.
As Scripture says: “But we have this treasure in JARS OF CLAY, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.”
(2 Corinthians 4:7).
So when we see very small differences in manuscripts, don’t see weakness of the bible — but may we see mercy of God. See the true, perfect God who still chooses to work with imperfect humans – THAT SURPASSING POWER BELONGS TO GOD, NOT TO US.
Let’s remember if God can use His Word through imperfect copyists, He can surely use our life, imperfect as it may be, to accomplish His plan of salvation. May we continue being Christ’s witnesses through our imperfect. Amen.
Bless you
