Daily Bread: Living in the Power and Hope of Christ’s Resurrection

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“…so that you may understand the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurably great power for us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named—not only in the present age but also in the age to come.”
(Ephesians 1:16–21)

3. Understanding the Hope in God’s Calling

The third focus of the Apostle Paul’s prayer is that the church may know and understand the hope contained in God’s calling—a hope that is certain, not vague or uncertain.
This hope is rooted in the same power of God that raised Christ from the dead and exalted Him above all powers (vv. 20–21).

This means that the future of believers is secure, because it is held by the Almighty God.

Therefore, do not live in fear or despair. Let us look toward the future with hope, because God has called us to live with a firm and confident hope.

Paul’s three prayer points remind us that spiritual growth does not depend merely on engaging in religious activities, but on spiritual illumination (revelation) that comes from God Himself.

May God’s people grow in the knowledge of Him, have the eyes of their hearts enlightened, and live with strong hope—because Christ reigns over all things.

Yes, Father God, grant me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that I may know Jesus Christ more deeply. Enlighten the eyes of my heart, that I may live in the hope You have prepared and continue to walk faithfully in Your calling. Amen.

Bless you
