😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.”
(Job 42:5 NLT)
This particular verse holds deep significance in the Book of Job, as it represents a pivotal moment in Job’s life. Throughout the story, Job has suffered tremendous loss, facing challenges that would test the faith of anyone. The phrase “I had only heard about you BEFORE, but NOW I have seen you with my own eyes,” signifies a transformation in Job’s understanding of God. Initially, Job’s relationship with God was based on what he had heard and learned from others. Yet, through his intense trials and personal experiences, he has moved to a level of understanding that is deeply personal. His newfound clarity represents a dramatic shift from theory to reality
In our lives, we often hear teachings about God and faith from various sources—pastors, friends, and family. However, THERE COMES A TIME WHEN WE NEED TO EXPERIENCE GOD FOR OURSELVES. This verse highlights the importance of personal testimony and relational faith. Job’s realization serves as a reminder that our spiritual journeys must include personal encounters with God, allowing us to see God in our own lives. Like Job, we too may find ourselves surrounded by despair but must remain open to experiencing God’s presence fully.
If I must go through life’s struggles, O Lord, may you touch the eyes of my understanding so that I may know Your Person better. Amen.
Bless you
