Daily Bread: The Inside Matters More Than The Outside Appearance

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

There is a story in the bible about a very handsome man, “Now Absalom was praised as the MOST HANDSOME man in all Israel. He was flawless from head to foot.” (2 Samuel‬ ‭14‬:‭25‬ ‭NLT‬‬). Yet, when Absalom chose to keep bitterness inside his heart, he eventually rebelled against his father, king David, and was killed during the battle.

Beauty on the outside doesn’t make you beauty on the inside.

Absalom had a perfect outward appearance, but what was going on inward was quite different. Many men and women spend hours going to gyms, hairdressers, doing make-up, having plastic surgery, clothes shopping and working on their outward appearance (even though it is legitimate if the finance and opportunity exist); unfortunately neglecting to develop their inner-beauty. What really matters is what’s going on THE INSIDE. And we all need to refocus and to work harder developing on our inner beauty.

Lord, I pray that out of
God’s glorious riches, may You strengthen me with power through the Holy Spirit in my inner being, and help me that my life being rooted and established in love. Amen. (Eph. 3:16-17).
