😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly?…”
(1 Corinthians 3:1, 3 NIV)
The Apostle Paul was motivated to write a letter to the church in Corinth because he saw various problems, including jealousy and quarreling; so the Bible mentions the Christians in Corinth that “you are still worldly” meaning: their lifestyle have not changed still like they have not believed in the Lord Jesus.
Conflicts of jealousy and quarreling in the church, in the family, at work, must be sought for the root of the problem and resolved because they can hinder the growth of faith and are truly not a blessing to those around them.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”(Matt. 5:9)
How can people around us see that ‘we are indeed children of God’ if our lives often show envy and strife?
Bless you
