Daily Bread: When Faith Speaks Beyond the Grave

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“BY FAITH Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he BEING DEAD STILL SPEAKS.”
‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Hebrews 11:4 is teaching something very important: Abel’s sacrifice was “more excellent” not merely because of what he brought, but because it was offered IN FAITH—and God Himself testified that Abel was righteous.

Abel’s life seemed to end in tragedy. Cain killed him. From a human perspective, Abel’s story appeared to be finished. But the New Testament in Hebrews says: “he being dead still speaks.”
What looked like the end became a testimony that continues to speak.

His life reminds us that God is not merely interested in what we give Him. God looks at HOW and WHY we come to Him.

We can serve, give, worship, preach, sing, pray, and do many religious activities—and yet God desires something deeper:
A HEART THAT TRUST GOD.

Abel brought his offering by faith, from a heart that trusts God. Abel’s offering demonstrated something about his relationship with God.

Perhaps today you feel that what you offer to God is small. Your prayer may seem simple. Your ministry may seem small. Your obedience may seem unnoticed. Your sacrifice may seem insignificant compared with what others are doing.

But remember:
God sees faith, looking a heart that trusts Him.

So don’t measure your offerings, by comparison with someone else.
Bring God what you have IN FAITH.

And one day, what was done quietly in faith may speak louder than anything done for human recognition.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, teach me to live and serve You by faith. I don’t want merely to give You outward religious activity; I want to give You a heart that truly trusts You. Help me to remain faithful even when nobody sees nor applauds. Above all, enable me and let my life point people to the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Amen.
