God’s word today:
“Therefore, where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin. Therefore, brothers and sisters, BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS WE NOW HAVE FULL CONFIDENCE TO ENTER THE HOLY PLACE, because He has opened for us a NEW AND LIVING WAY through the CURTAIN, THAT IS, HIS BODY, and we have a Great High Priest over the house of God.”
(Hebrews 10:18–21)
“…through the CURTAIN, that is, His body…” (verse 20)
This is profound.
In the Tabernacle of Moses, there was a thick “CURTAIN” separating the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. It represented the barrier or separation between sinful humanity and the holy God.
When Jesus died on the cross, the curtain in the Temple in Jerusalem was torn in two from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51).
This speaks: the way into God’s presence has truly been opened. It is not merely a new system or ritual.
The Way is Jesus—who willingly became the sacrifice for our sins when He was crucified.
Jesus Himself declares:
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”- John 14:6
Reflection: “The Way to God Is Now Open”
Sometimes we feel unworthy to come into God’s presence because we remember our past sins, failures, weaknesses. We may think, “God must be far away from me.”
But Hebrews 10:18–21 tells us something different.
Because of the blood of Jesus, we can come entering His presence with full confidence.
Notice: our confidence is not because we are worthy, but because Jesus has made us worthy.
So when our hearts say: “I am not worthy to come to God,”
My faith responds:
“That is true. I do not come because of my own worthiness. I come because of the blood of Jesus.”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You that through Your blood, my sins have been forgiven, and through You, the way to God the Father and to heaven has been opened. Help me not to live in guilt and fear, but to come to You with faith and confidence. Thank You that I can enter Your presence, not because of my own worthiness, but because of what You have accomplished for me. Amen.
