😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it was necessary for this One also to have something to offer. For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the COPY AND SHADOW OF THE HEAVENLY THINGS, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, ‘See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.’
(Hebrews 8:3–5, NKJV)
When Moses built the Tabernacle, God commanded him to make everything according to the pattern that had been shown to him on Mount Sinai (Exodus 25:9, 40). This demonstrates that the earthly Tabernacle was not the product of human creativity, but was designed according to the heavenly reality.
Therefore, every element of the Tabernacle—the high priest, the altar of sacrifice, the sacrificial blood, the Holy Place, the veil, and the Most Holy Place—pointed forward to Jesus Christ and His saving work.
Now that Christ has come, we no longer hold on to the shadow, but to the One who is the reality itself.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that through Jesus Christ we no longer live in the shadow, but have been brought into the reality of Your love and Your presence. Amen.
Bless you
