Daily Bread: Worship the King of Heaven

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says,
“LET ALL God’s ANGELS WORSHIP HIM”. Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire.””
‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

It’s easy to be fascinated by the supernatural—power, miracles, even angels. But Hebrews redirects our focus: don’t stop at the “servants”, WORSHIP THE SON.

Hebrews 1:6–7 takes the argument even higher: not only is Jesus greater than angels—angels themselves are commanded to worship Him. God says, “Let all God’s angels worship Him.” This is striking, because in Scripture, worship belongs to the living God alone (Isaiah 42:8). Yet here, the Son receives that worship. The conclusion is clear: Jesus is fully divine, worthy of the same honor as the Father.

If angels, in all their glory, bow before Jesus, how much more should we, human beings? And there is comfort here too: the One who is worshiped by angels is the same One who came into the world for us. The King of heaven stepped into our broken world, not to be served, but to save us.

My Lord, Jesus Christ, you are worthy of my highest worship, worthy of my deepest devotion, worthy of my full surrender. Amen.

Bless you
