Daily Bread: Hope in Christ, Lives That Reflect His Glory

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, SO THAT WE WHO WERE THE FIRST TO HOPE IN CHRIST MIGHT BE TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY.”
‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

Our hope is not placed in circumstances, nor human wisdom and strength, nor the future of this world, but in Christ. Christ is the foundation of our faith, the source of our salvation, and the purpose of our lives. When CHRIST becomes the CENTER of our hope, our lives are directed toward one glorious goal: to glorify God.

To be “to the praise to His glory” means that our very lives become a testimony. Not only through words, but through our attitudes, decisions, faithfulness, and daily obedience. In suffering or success, in simplicity or abundance, believers are called to reflect God’s glory.

This reminds us that salvation is not only about going to heaven, but about daily living a life that glorifies God here on earth. When others see how we place our hope in Christ, they can witness God’s glory revealed through our lives.

God is calling us to greater obedience so that His name may be glorified.

O Lord, thank You for establishing our lives within Your eternal plan. Help us to continually place our hope in Christ alone, and empower us that every step of our lives bring honor to Your name. Amen.
