Daily Bread: Walking as a True Friend of God

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“You are MY FRIENDS if you do what I command… I have called you friends…”
(John 15:14-15 NIV)

True friendship is a precious gift. In a world that is becoming more selfish and difficult, finding a trustworthy friend is not easy. Scripture has already warned us that in the last days, “people will
LOVE ONLY THEMSELVES and their money” (2 Timothy 3:1-2 NLT).
But above every earthly relationship, there is a greater invitation:
Jesus calls us His friends.
He is the One who reached out first, shared God the Father’s heart, and welcomed us into His confidence.

So today we ask ourselves:
Do we want to live as God’s friend?
A true friend listens, values relationship, and walks in an agreement, in obedience—not only asks for blessings.

Let this be our prayer:
“Lord, I want to be Your friend. Help me walk closely with You, enable me to enjoy talking with You daily, and choose to obey Your Word. Amen.”
