Daily Bread: The Joyful Cry of a Changed Heart

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”… “Come and see,” said Philip.”
‭‭(John‬ ‭1‬:‭45‬-‭46‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

Philip said to Nathanael, “We have found the one…” That was the joyful cry of someone who truly met Jesus. Philip didn’t yet understand everything about Christ—his knowledge of Jesus was limited to “the son of Joseph of Nazareth”—but he knew one thing for certain: Jesus was the fulfillment of the One prophesied in Scripture, and He was the Messiah, the answer to humanity’s longing for salvation.
This encounter with Jesus changed Philip’s focus—from seeking for himself to inviting others to the Messiah.

A reflection for us: when we truly experience Jesus, our hearts are naturally compelled to share Him. We don’t have to wait until we know everything God has said about Jesus.
God can use our simple testimony to lead someone to Him. May we be like Philip—rejoicing in finding the Savior, and willing to invite others to Jesus Christ—”Come and see.”

Bless you
