Daily Bread: Nothing Can Separate Us from His Love

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

You may have heard the word “Dementia,” a brain disorder that causes a decline in memory, thinking, language, and the ability to perform daily activities.

A nurse was trying to communicate with a grandmother with dementia, including naming family members. She asked, “What color were you wearing yesterday?” “I don’t know,” she replied. “What did you eat this afternoon?” “I don’t know.” “Do you know the names ‘Linda and Paul’?” The grandmother replied, “I don’t know.” Then the nurse asked again, “Do you know Jesus? Do you know who He is?” The grandmother replied, “well Jesus is someone that saved me
and lives in my heart and will take me home, yeah i love him”.

Wow! That was the grandmother’s response. Although dementia has caused her to forget her surroundings and no longer remember her family members, there is one person she can remember forever: Jesus. Truly, even dementia cannot separate her from the love of the Lord Jesus.

May we be convinced by the truth of God’s word for all believers in Christ, as written in Romans 8:38-39:

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭(Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭NIV‬‬)
