Daily Bread: God’s Living Protection Through Correction

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden…”
‭‭(Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

A member of the congregation gained wisdom and understanding out of the story when God expelling Adam and Eve. He sent this to me. This is an insight we can all learn from his writing.

“”I used to think, ‘Why does God seem so cruel, expelling Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden? Isn’t God all-loving?’ However, after I studied it more deeply, it turned out that behind God’s expulsion, there was grace and love for them. God wanted to protect them by keeping Adam and Eve away from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, ‘no longer eating from it’ so that they would not fall into sin again.’

Therefore, when God rebukes us when we sin or do something that is not in accordance with His will, it is not because God is cruel to us, but rather because God loves us so much that He wants to protect us so that we do not fall into sin again or do something that is outside of His will.

Remember that when we fall and are rebuked, it’s because God doesn’t want us to fall again, but He wants us to TURN BACK and RETURN to Him, because God LOVES us so much!
