😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”
Ephesians 6:13-15 NIV
Paul isn’t giving abstract poetry here—he’s using a very concrete picture his readers understood: a Roman soldier fully equipped for battle. The point is not aggression, but stability. Notice the repeated word: stand. The Christian life, in this passage, is not about charging forward recklessly, but about not collapsing when pressure comes.
There are days when faith doesn’t feel like victory—it feels like pressure. Temptation, discouragement, confusion, or even spiritual dryness can come like waves. Paul doesn’t say, “Win every battle spectacularly.” He says, stand.
Stand in truth when lies are louder.
Stand in righteousness when compromise feels easier.
Stand in the peace of the gospel when your heart feels unsettled.
The strength is not in the believer’s willpower, but in God’s provision. You don’t manufacture this armor—you simply to put it on. It’s already given in Christ.
So today, the call is simple:
Tighten what may have loosened. Return to truth. Guard your heart with righteous choices. Let the peace of Christ steady your steps.
And when the day of evil comes—as it inevitably does—that moment you may not feel strong, but you will still be standing.
O God, I want to rely on You because from You comes my strength to remain steadfast in the face of life’s difficulties and challenges. Amen.
Bless you
