😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“Therefore do not be foolish, but seek to understand what the will of the Lord is.”
(Ephesians 5:17)
This verse appears in the context where Paul advises believers to live wisely in the midst of “the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15–16). Therefore, understanding the will of the Lord is not merely about knowledge, but about the way we live our daily lives. Paul also warns, “do not be foolish.” The word “foolish” here does not mean lacking intellectual ability, but refers to Christians who live without spiritual direction, insensitive to what God desires. In contrast, a wise person is someone who is willing to seek and pursue God’s will.
Why Is It Important to Understand God’s Will?
1. So that our lives will not go astray.
2. So that we use our time wisely.
3. So that our lives may be pleasing to the Lord.
4. So that we may experience God’s best plan.
When we ask, “What is God’s will for my life?”let us remember that before knowing God’s greater plan, we are first called to live in obedience day by day.
O Lord, may Your grace enable me to obey Your guidance daily. And I desire and will make effort to seek the will of God. Amen.
Bless you
