😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“And DO NOT GRIEVE the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even AS GOD IN CHRIST FORGAVE YOU.”
(Ephesians 4:30-32 NKJV)
Every believer has the Holy Spirit living within them. He is not distant; He is present in our thoughts, words, and relationships every day.
Paul reminds us that the Holy Spirit can be grieved. When bitterness grows in our hearts, when anger controls our reactions, when harsh words leave our mouths, the Spirit who lives in us feels sorrow. For these attitudes belong to our old-man, a life before Christ.
But Paul does not leave us only with a warning—he gives us a new way to live: God calls us from life of bitterness to kindness, hard hearts to tender compassion, holding offenses to forgive.
And the foundation of this command is the gospel itself:
“Forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Every day we make a choice.
We can live in ways that grieve the Holy Spirit, or we can live in ways that reflect the grace of Christ. When we remember how completely Christ has forgiven us, our hearts soften toward others.
So today, ask the Lord to search your heart. If there is bitterness or unforgiveness, bring it to Him. Let the Holy Spirit transform your heart so that your life becomes a channel of kindness, compassion, and forgiveness.
Thank you my Lord for forgiving my sins and giving the Holy Spirit of God into my heart, by whom I am sealed for the day of redemption. O Lord, help me to live obedience to the leading of Spirit of God. In Jesus Name, amen.
Bless you
