God’s word today:
“That, however, is not the way of life you learned when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.”
(Ephesians 4:20-21 NIV)
After describing the old sinful life, Paul reminds believers: “YOU DID NOT COME TO KNOW CHRIST THAT WAY… you were taught in Him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.”
To be “taught in Him” means more than knowing about Jesus. It means living in relationship with Him and allowing Him to shape our lives. Christianity is not just learning information — it is BECOMING MORE LIKE CHRIST.
Paul speaks about “the truth that is in Jesus.” In a world where truth often changes, Jesus and His teachings is our STANDARD. His life, His character, and His Word define what is right and holy.
As believers, we are called to live according to His truth — in our thoughts, words, and actions.
Let us pray:
“O Lord Jesus, teach me to live in Your ways. May You direct and shape my life according to Your truth.” Amen.
