Daily Bread: Gifted by Christ, Called to Serve

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.” (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.)”
‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

This verse reminds us of a truth: every believer has received grace from Christ. Not just pastors. Not just church leaders. But every believer.

Sometimes we may feel small, unimportant, or feeling not useful in God’s work. We may think, “I don’t have special abilities,” or “I cannot serve like others.” But this verse tells us that Christ Himself has given grace to every believer. That means you are not forgotten. You are included in His plan.

This grace is not only for salvation, but also for spiritual service. Christ gives strength, gifts, and ability so that we can serve in His church. And He gives it according to His wisdom. He knows exactly what each person needs and what each person can do.

We do not need to compare ourselves with others, nor feel inferior or proud. A small part in the physical body is still an important part. What matters is not how big the gift is, but how faithfully we use what Christ has given.

Today, remember this:
Christ has given you grace. You have a place. You have a purpose.

Reflection:
Am I using the grace Christ has given me to serve Him and encourage others?

Lord Jesus, thank You for giving grace to each of us. Help me to recognize the grace You have given me and to use it faithfully for Your glory. Teach me not to compare myself with others, but to serve You and others with humility and joy. Amen.

Bless you
