😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you, how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly.”
(Ephesians 3:1–3)
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let us notice again that Paul writes this letter not from a place of comfort, but from prison. Yet he does not describe himself as “a prisoner of the Roman Empire.” Instead, he calls himself a prisoner for Christ Jesus—“for Christ Jesus.”
This shows that Paul understood his life not defined by outward circumstances or personal hardship, but by the calling of God. Paul recognized that even while in prison, he had been entrusted with the stewardship of God’s grace, which was given to him by revelation from God.
Therefore, Paul’s ministry was not the result of his own ability or greatness, but because God chose to reveal His will. The grace given to Paul did not belong to him; it was a trust from God, meant to be carried out on behalf of others—“for you Gentiles.”
So, dear fellow believers, the limitations of life—like Paul’s imprisonment—do not cancel God’s trust. As long as we live in Christ, God continues to entrust His grace to us, so that we may steward it faithfully and that through our lives His grace may reach those around us.
My Lord, teach me to be faithful in stewarding Your grace, even in the limitations of my life. Use my life for the glory of Your name. Amen.
Bless you
