Daily Bread: From Death to Life by Grace

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.”
‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

“BUT GOD, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),”
‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The Word of God honestly reveals our true condition:
“By nature we were deserving of wrath, like the rest.”
Without Christ, we are spiritually dead—living according to the desires of the flesh and in opposition to the will of God.

“But God…”—these two words change everything.
God did not leave us in death and under wrath. He is a God who is rich in mercy. Because of His great love—not because of our goodness or efforts—He poured out His grace upon us.

That love is shown through a real and powerful action:
“God made us alive together with Christ.”Therefore, our salvation is entirely the work of God.

This devotion reminds us to live in humility and gratitude. If today, at the beginning of this new year, we are able to live, work, serve, build families, and face the future with hope, all of it is because of the grace of God in Christ.

Yes it is true. For by grace I have been saved. Thank You, my Lord.
Amen.

Bless you
