Daily Bread: Marked by God, Kept by His Power

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The Apostle Paul explains a truth that greatly strengthens our faith: the salvation of believers is not merely a feeling, but a spiritual reality established by God Himself. When a person hears the gospel, receives that truth, and believes in Christ, God does something extraordinary—He seals that person with the Holy Spirit.

In Paul’s time, a seal symbolized ownership, authenticity, and protection. In other words, when we believe:
•We become fully God’s possession
•Our lives are marked as genuine and valid before Him
•We are kept by God’s power, not by our own strength.

This means that our faith does not depend on emotional stability or the perfection of our lives, but ON THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD. Even though we still struggle, fall, and continue to grow, the seal of the Holy Spirit remains—because it is God’s work, not the result of human effort. Our lives are secure in God’s hands until the day of complete redemption. Therefore, let us live as a people full of hope and become a praise to His glory.

O Lord, thank You for sealing my life with the Holy Spirit. Enable me to live according to Your guidance and to remain faithful until the end, as Your possession that brings glory to Your name. Amen.
