Daily Bread: Loved, Chosen, and Accepted in Christ

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,”
‭‭(Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God is the omniscient God. Before the foundation of the world, God saw us. He knows your struggles, your failures, and your questions—yet He still desires you.
In His perfect love, in His amazing omniscience, God has determined that everyone who believes in Jesus will become children of God. This is reaffirmed in John 1:12: “But to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

God doesn’t force anyone to come to Him. His arms are always open, the invitation to receive Him extended to all. And those who say “yes” to Jesus, the Son of God, will step into the plan that was laid out long ago: the adoption into God’s family.

This plan, “according to the good pleasure of His will,” means that God was truly willing to give His own Son, Jesus, to come to this world as a human being, born of the virgin Mary, and to die on the cross to redeem humanity from its sins—
so that all people could be adopted as children of God—that is the purpose of Christmas.

We are loved, chosen, and destined to enter God’s heart, to become His children.

Rest assured in this truth:
In Christ, you are fully accepted.
In Christ, you are God’s beloved child.

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for loving me long before I knew You. Thank you for sending Your Son to redeem me and adopt me as Your child. Amen.

Bless you
