Daily Bread: Overcoming Hurt Through God’s Love

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.””
(Romans 12:19 ESV)

It is God who says in the Bible that: “…Vengeance is Mine. I will repay…”
Why so? Because God is the only one who truly knows the human heart, and He has the right to determine punishment correctly.
Know this: God has not forgotten the injustice you experienced. But He asks that you do not retaliate, because He Himself will act in His time.
So in this life:
*When hurt, don’t react with emotion or revenge. Even though it feels difficult, have the strength to pray for that person (Matt. 5:44).
*Trust that God cares about your suffering and will act justly. Repay evil with good — not to justify your enemies, but to glorify God.

If you experience hurt, let’s pray:
Lord, You know the pain and injustice I have experienced. I place it in Your hands. Teach me not to take revenge, but to trust in Your perfect justice. Restore my heart with Your love, so that I can repay evil with good, as You have loved me.” Amen.
