😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).”
(Matthew 27:45-46 NIV)
The Son of God in his humanity has exprienced very greatly suffering on the Cross. The bible tells the physical pain of the cross, it is very painful that any man would try to avoid it, but the most fearful and terrifying for Jesus during the cross is ‘the separation from the presence of God the Father’. That’s why Jesus loudly pouring out his most painful moment in his humanity, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
For Jesus be in the presence of the Father God gives comfort, peace even in the most suffering moment on the Cross.
May our heart desire so much of God’s presence, be in home, in daily activities, in the church. Let’s draw our hearts closer to the living God even in difficulty.
“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”
(Psalms 62:1-2 NIV)
Bless you
