Daily Bread: Faith in What Had Never Been Seen

God’s word today:

“BY FAITH Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household…”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

NOT YET SEEN BUT OBEYED

In Noah’s time, water had never been seen overflowing from the ocean, nor had any watery substance fallen from the sky, what was later known as “rain.” Yet Noah believed God’s word and obediently prepared an ark as God commanded, and so he did.
Noah’s trust in God and His word (even though he had not yet seen the flood), and his obedience in following God’s instructions, ultimately saved his family of eight from the flood.

Dear God, I believe that You are the God who is able to protect and save me and my family from all the “floods” of this age. Help me to hear Your Word and obey Your instructions. Amen.
