Daily Bread: The Urgency Of Obedient Faith

God’s word today:

“Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I WILL FOLLOW YOU wherever you go.” Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

There are people who say, “I want to follow the Lord Jesus”; The answer that emerged was surprising, it sounded very harsh and difficult to understand, why is that? Because Jesus wanted to test ‘motivation’ whether the person was ready in following Him in all situation of life.
In fact, Christianity not only talks about the comfort of life, but also talks about obedience to God’s word and His will, without any delay. The aim is to create authentic, strong and testable motivation, which is very necessary in accompanying Christ until the end of life.

FOLLOWING CHRIST WITH THE TRUE MOTIVATION WILL RESULT IN STRENGTH OF CHARACTER UNTIL THE END OF LIFE.
