Daily Bread: Delight in His Word Daily

God’s word today:

“I long for Your salvation, O Lord, And Your law is my delight.”
‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭174‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

“Trouble and anguish have found me, Yet Your commandments are my delight and my joy.”
‭‭(Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭143‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

Even in hardship (trouble and anguish) David’s passion to make the word of God his “delight and joy” did not diminish.
Every believer should emulate David who made the word of God his delight in his life every day, not just when problems arise.
Often, Christians only seek the word of God when they are hit by a problem and then look for verses that match the situation they are experiencing.
Pay attention! The word of God is the primary need of believers! Just as physical food is needed every day for the strength of the body, “…Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’””(Matt.‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬).

The more we make God’s word our delight and joy, the more the power of His word works and strengthens us to face life’s challenges.
