Daily Bread: Surrendering To God’s Process

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.”
‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭33‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

To recognize whether a tree is good or not good, is not from the trunk, leaves, or branches, but from its fruit, “FOR THE TREE IS KNOWN BY HIS FRUIT”.

An important principle needs to be understood that it takes times, a relatively long process for a plant to bear fruits depending on the type of tree, not a short time.

For a tree to bear much and sweet fruit, this is ‘a picture of life being a blessing’, there is a ‘price to be paid’, meaning there must be a willingness to let God pruned and cleansed the character and habits of life that are not in accordance with His will.
“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away, and every branch in Me that does bear fruit He PRUNES, that it may bear more fruit.” (John 15:2)

Pruned (cleaned, cut off) branches actually provide an opportunity for the tree to produce sufficient nutrients, which are then distributed to the branches and finally to the fruit. This process of cleansing or pruning from God can go through problems and various life-testings. Being ‘pruned’ is painful in the flesh: ‘one’s ego, pride, jealousy, shame, etc. pruned slowly’, but it does us good, “that it may bear more fruit.”

When we are willing to submit to God’s process of pruning, He will flow grace and strength so that our lives may become a blessing, influencing those around us to love God more.

This is my life, O Lord, I dedicate it to You. Shape my life according to what is good in Your sight. Amen.

Bless you
