Daily Bread: Rejecting Worldly Pleasures And Worry

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“The seed fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their ways (IN DAILY ACTIVITIES), they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature (NO MATURE-FRUITS) .”
( Luke 8:14 NIV )

In this passage clearly stated the “seed” is the “word of God”. In weekly worship service we listen to God’s teachings, every day in reading the bible we hear the Word of God (or through listening to sermons or praise songs); But if in our DAILY LIVES we allow feelings of worriness to become more dominant in our hearts and minds, and allow the temptation of wealth and the pursuit of life’s pleasures to be more dominant in our daily lives, then the result is that we are not in His will: we do not produce the fruit of godly and mature characters.

I want to live in Your will, O Lord. Therefore I refuse worriness to dominate my life; I say no to the temptation of wealth, no to the temptation of seeking wordly pleasure. Amen.
