😇 Shalom to all
God’s word today:
“Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
(Lamentations 3:21-23 NLT)
The Book of Lamentations takes place in the time of the prophet Jeremiah, a time when the city of Jerusalem was destroyed; he saw the difficult situations that were before his eyes. When there are problems, hardships, suffering in life, humans can forget the awesomeness of God’s power, because their attention and gaze are focused on the various difficulties so that God is ‘covered’ by the magnitude of life’s struggles. We can also forget God’s faithful love and goodness, we can forget God’s help in the past. In the midst of the ruins of the destruction of Jerusalem, Jeremiah still saw the light of hope for believers because he directed his gaze and attention to God! (Not focused on the problems).
“Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends!”
Oh Lord, may your mercy upon my life. I choose to remember God’s unending faithful love and God’s new mercy every morning. Amen.
Bless you
