Daily Bread: God Is Able To Change Mourning & Despair Into New Life

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:

“…to bestow on them a crown of beauty INSTEAD OF ashes, the oil of joy INSTEAD OF mourning, and a garment of praise INSTEAD OF a spirit of despair…”
‭‭(Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

In verse above contains the words: ashes (smeared on the head), mourning, despair – this is a picture of the difficult situations and heavy problems that God’s people can experience. However, in that verse God also promises that His power is able to reverse (“INSTEAD OF”) all circumstances: ashes reverse into a crown of beauty, mourning into oil of joy, despair into a garment of praise. Meaning: What for humans is a failure, despair, or perhaps considered like rice that has become porridge, God can reverse all. For with God nothing is impossible, He is able to give new life.

Let’s continue to hold on to God’s faithfulness and power; for with God nothing is impossible. May we keep hope and with God’s help we shall overcome problems in life.
