😇Shalom to all
God’s word today:
“O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Interlude”
(Psalms 62:8 NLT )
Psalm 62 and several other psalms speak the outpouring of David’s heart and became David’s song during the times when he was so depressed, afraid and suffering due to the pursuit of King Saul and his army. He even felt alone and everyone wanted to attack him – “So many enemies against one man— all of them trying to kill me. To them I’m just a broken-down wall or a tottering fence.”
(Psalms 62:3 NLT).
However, in the midst of great pressure in his life, David was still able to hear God’s voice and acknowledge that God was a place of refuge for him and all of God’s people.
The verse above says, ‘POUR OUT YOUR HEART TO HIM’. Where do you pour out your heart? ‘To God’: in prayer and worship, pour out our hearts to God.
When we pour out our hearts, speaking out the deep struggles of our souls to God, then the condition of our hearts is being prepared to hear God’s voice and receive His Word.
Bless you
