😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
The is a tree (9.75 m high) named “Shajarat-al-Hayat”or “the tree of life” so called. It stands alone in the middle of the Arabian desert in Bahrain and has done so for more than 400 years. There is no water source or other plants for miles. Temperatures in the region can reach 45C in the summer and average yearly rainfall is less than 3 inches. How this tree can be alive, grow big and stand long in that very harsh environment? The scientists then say that the tree is able to stay alive in this arid landscape due to having an extremely long tap root that reaches deep down into ground water. Whatever the reason, the fact that this tree has lived so long in this location is truly miraculous!
Yes, deep below the desert ground there is still drips of water; as far its roots can reach to this water, the tree will keep growing and alive.
Therefore, no matter how harsh the circumstances of life might surround us, as long we keep continue receiving the drips of water of the word of God, our faith in Jesus will live and grow and stand.
I believe God’s word in the bible is the ‘water’ for the roots of my spiritual life. Help me o God to reach and touch water of God’s word continuously. Amen.
“AS THE RAIN and the SNOW come down from heaven, and do not return to it without WATERING THE EARTH and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, SO IS MY WORD that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Amen.
(Isaiah 55:10-11 NIV)
Bless you
