Daily Bread: Jesus, The Light In Our Darkness

Firman Allah hari ini:

“Di manakah Dia, raja orang Yahudi yang baru dilahirkan itu? Kami telah MELIHAT BINTANG-Nya di Timur dan kami datang untuk menyembah Dia.””
‭‭(Matius‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭TB‬‬)

Dari petunjuk Alkitab kita tahu pasti bahwa Yesus, Anak Allah, lahirnya di malam hari karena saat Ia dilahirkan ada cahaya bintang yang dapat dilihat secara kasat mata.
Allah tidak memilih kelahiran Yesus di waktu pagi atau siang, namun ‘malam hari’; ini gambaran ‘kehidupan dalam kegelapan’: waktu kesulitan berat, waktu jiwa tertekan, takut, putus asa, waktu perasaan tidak ada harapan.

Yesus datang di dalam dunia yang gelap ini sehingga ada terang-Nya yang menuntun perjalanan hidup.

Kiranya terang dari Yesus menuntun kehidupan kita supaya boleh mencapai rencana indah dari Allah bagi kita.

God’s word today:

“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have SEEN His STAR in the East and have come to worship Him.””
‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

From the Bible we can know for sure that Jesus, the Son of God, was born at night because the time He was born there was a starlight that could be seen with the naked eye.
God did not choose time of the birth of Jesus in the morning or afternoon, but ‘at night’; this is a picture of ‘life in darkness’: a time of great difficulty, a time of depression, fear, despair, a time of feeling hopeless.

Jesus came into this dark world so that there would be His light to guide the journey of life.

May the light of Jesus guide our lives so that we can reach God’s beautiful plan for us.
