Daily Bread: Your Labour Is Not In Vain

Firman Allah hari ini:

Sebagai pengikut Yesus kita belajar satu prinsip yang sangat penting: orang-orang yang mengalami kelepasan, pertolongan dan mujizat dari Yesus, bukan saja bersyukur atas segala kebaikan Tuhan, selanjutnya mereka memberikan hidup mereka untuk melayani Yesus dalam berbagai cara termasuk melayani dengan kekayaan mereka.

“… MARIA yang disebut MAGDALENA, yang telah DIBEBASKAN DARI TUJUH ROH JAHAT, Yohana isteri Khuza bendahara Herodes, Susana dan banyak perempuan lain. Perempuan-perempuan ini MELAYANI rombongan itu dengan kekayaan mereka.”
‭‭(Lukas‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬2-3‬ ‭TB‬‬)

Secara khusus dituliskan nama Maria Magdalena, yang karena sudah dilepaskan dari 7 roh jahat ia pun bertekad memberikan hidupnya untuk melayani Tuhan dan rombongan para murid-Nya. Kasihnya kepada Tuhan terus bertumbuh bahkan ia melihat bagaimana Tuhan Yesus disalibkan.
Kesetiaan dan pengorbanan Maria Magdalena ini kepada Tuhan Yesus bagaikan aroma yang harum dihadapan Tuhan, dan Maria Magdalena menjadi orang pertama yang Yesus jumpai setelah bangkit dari kematian-Nya:  “… Ia MULA-MULA MENAMPAKKAN DIRI-NYA kepada Maria Magdalena. Dari padanya Yesus pernah mengusir tujuh setan.”
‭‭(Markus‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭TB‬‬)

Tuhan menghargai pelayanan yang Anda berikan kepada sesama di dalam Nama-Nya.

“…Bekerjalah terus untuk Tuhan dengan sungguh-sungguh, sebab kalian mengetahui bahwa semua yang kalian kerjakan untuk Tuhan, tidak akan percuma.”

God’s word today:

As followers of Jesus we learn one very important principle: people who experienced deliverance, help and miracles from Jesus, not only were grateful for all of God’s goodness, they then gave their lives to serve Jesus in various ways including serving with their wealth.

“…MARY (called MAGDALENE) from whom SEVEN DEMONS HAD COME OUT; Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were HELPING TO SUPPORT them out of their own means.”
‭‭(Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

The name of Mary Magdalene specifically written here who had been freed from 7 evil spirits. She was determined to give her life to help and serve Jesus and the group of His disciples. Her love for God continued to grow. She even saw how the Lord Jesus was crucified. Mary Magdalene’s devotion and sacrifice to Jesus was like a fragrant aroma before God, and Mary Magdalene became the first person Jesus met after His resurrection from death:
“…HE APPEARED FIRST to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.”
‭‭(Mark‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

God values the help, the service you give to others in His Name.

“…Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
(‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ ‭NIV‬‬)
