Daily Bread: Breaking Weapons, Restoring Hearts

God’s word today:

“The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying: ¶“Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Behold (listen carefully), I am going to break the bow of Elam, The finest [weapon] of their strength.”
‭‭(Jeremiah‬ ‭49‬:‭34‬-‭35‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

The area called “Elam” in the Bible is part of the country of Iran today. Interestingly, there is a nuclear power plant in that area (which can be converted into a nuclear bomb that can be launched by an intercontinental missile from there); this nuclear power plant will be the ‘core of Iran’s power’. And in the Bible it is written: “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Behold (listen carefully), I am going TO BREAK the bow of Elam, The FINEST [WEAPON] OF THEIR STRENGTH.”

Today there is a big news that Israeli planes have finally had to bomb several locations in Iran (including a nuclear facility in the area the Bible calls “Elam”) because Iran has long made threats to destroy the nation of Israel.
Is this the time for the fulfillment of the prophecy of God’s Word to come to pass and be fulfilled? We do not know for sure, but what is certain is that God has the time and power to fulfill the prophecies of His Word.

One part of the believer’s job is to pray that God’s will and His plan will be fulfilled on this earth, including God’s plan to restore the nation of Iran. Trust that many people in Iran will turn their hearts and come to faith in Jesus, the true living God.
““Yet I will restore the fortunes of Elam in days to come,” declares the Lord.” Amen.
