😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
Mary in the Bible, a virgin, received a message from God through the angel Gabriel that she would conceive a baby, “You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.”(Luke 1:31 NIV).
After hearing these words, Mary said to the angel, ““How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”” (Luke 1:34 NIV)
What Mary questioned was a natural thing! Logically, how could she be pregnant as a virgin? What would people say later and it would definitely become the subject of gossip in society and be seen as ‘sinful, lowly’. Even in the culture at that time, Mary could be killed by stoning.
This was a matter that was very difficult to accept and understand; but after receiving an explanation from the angel Gabriel that she had received grace from God, Mary gave an extraordinary response, “”I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.”(Luke 1:38 NIV)
Even though it is unimaginable and difficult for reason to accept, Mary respects the Lord God, willing to submit to complete obedience to God’s will. This is true obedience.
Having a servant’s heart and having obedience are two things that cannot be separated!
Bless you
