Daily Bread: Be Clothed With Humility

Firman Allah hari ini:

“… Hendaknya Saudara saling MELAYANI dengan perasaan RENDAH HATI, sebab ALLAH MENGARUNIAKAN BERKAT-BERKAT KHUSUS KEPADA ORANG YANG RENDAH HATI, tetapi Ia menentang orang yang sombong.”
‭‭(1 Petrus‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ FAYH‬‬)

Melayani sesama dengan kerendahan hati adalah perintah Tuhan, yang disertai dengan berkat-berkat Allah bagi yang mentaatinya.

Dan sekarang berada dalam bulan Desember, kita rasakan suasana Natal dengan lampu lampu natal yang gemerlapan, mengingatkan kita bahwa Putra Allah yang telah dilahirkan; dan satu tujuan kedatangan-Nya di dunia ini adalah untuk melayani.
“Karena Anak Manusia juga datang BUKAN untuk dilayani, MELAINKAN untuk melayani…”(‭‭Markus‬ ‭10‬:‭45‬).

Tuhan Yesus, terimakasih Engkau sudah menjadi teladan kami; Engkau mau merendahkan diri-Mu dan datang ke dunia ini
untuk melayani manusia yang berdosa. Mampukanlah saya untuk melayani sesama dengan kerendahan hati. Amin.

God’s word today:

“…Yea, all of you GIRD (CLOTH) YOURSELVES WITH HUMILITY, TO SERVE one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.”
‭‭(1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭ASV‬‬)

Serving others with humility is God’s commandment; There is a promise of blessing for those who obey it, “God giveth grace to the humle.”

And now beginning December, we feel the Christmas atmosphere with sparkling Christmas lights, reminding us that the Son of God has been born; and one purpose of His coming to this world is to serve.
“For even the Son of Man did NOT come to be served, BUT to serve…”(Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭45‬)

Lord Jesus, thank you for being our example of true humbleness; You willingly humble Yourself, coming into the earth to serve the sinful human beings. O God, help me and enable me to serve one another with attitude of humility. Amen.
