😇 Shalom to all.
(Yoh. 4:39).
Terimakasih Tuhan Yesus, Engkaulah sumber air-hidup bagiku, dan aku mau menyaksikan kebaikan-Mu kepada orang-orang lain. Amin
Bless you

😇 Shalom to all.
God’s word today:
“Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. IT WAS ABOUT NOON.”
(John 4:6 NIV)
The Gospel of John chapter 4 records Jesus’ conversation, when He was sitting by the well, then a woman, who was only recorded as a “Samaritan woman” came to draw water from the well. There Jesus began a conversation about “water”. Besides air, water is a vital human need. Therefore we understand that Jesus’ conversation was about something vital for human needs.
Interesting: that the Samaritan woman came to draw water from the well in the middle of a hot day, “It was about noon.” (verse 6). The area of Samaria during the day is normally hot; generally at 12 noon many people prefer to take shelter at home rather than go out of the house. It seems that she chose that time to avoid meeting other people. The Bible tells us that she had been married five times and divorced five times. At that time, of course, she was branded very badly in society because of her failed marital status.
Feelings of shame, feelings of failure, can drive someone to be ‘anti-social’, avoiding people.
However, she became very joyful after meeting the source of living water, namely Jesus Christ. Even she forgot her jar, hurried back into the city. She herself that approached the people and testified. Her feelings of shame were transformed into joy and enthusiasm, no longer avoiding people but instead meeting people to testify about Jesus.
“And many Samaritans from that city believed in Him because of the words of the woman who testified…” (John 4:39).
Thank you Lord Jesus, you are the source of living water for me, and I desire to testify your goodness to other people. Amen.
Bless you
