Daily Bread: The Truth Will Set You Free

Firman Allah hari ini:

“Maka kata-Nya kepada orang-orang Yahudi yang percaya kepada-Nya: ”Jikalau kamu tetap dalam firman-Ku, kamu benar-benar adalah murid-Ku dan kamu akan mengetahui kebenaran, dan KEBENARAN itu akan MEMERDEKAKAN kamu.””
(Yohanes 8:31-32 TB)

“Kebenaran Akan Memerdekakan Anda” adalah pepatah umum di kalangan akademis, mempromosikan bahwa di dalam dunia akademik ada kekuatan yang memerdekakan orang dari cara-pikir lama (yang mungkin tidak produktif) untuk menuju kepada kehidupan yang lebih baik. Namun, pernyataan “kebenaran akan memerdekakan Anda” bukan berasal dari dunia akademis, dari pengajaran Tuhan Yesus, tetapi mereka mengutipnya sebagian saja.

Pernyataan “Kebenaran Akan Memerdekakan Anda”, ini harus didengar teliti sebab pernyataan ini belum komplit untuk memerdekakan kita.
Perhatikan lagi: “kamu akan MENGETAHUI KEBENARAN, dan kebenaran itu akan memerdekakan kamu.”
Jadi kebenaran firman Allah YANG ANDA KETAHUI (yang diterima, dipercayai dan tertulis dalam hati), KEBENARAN ITULAH yang akan memerdekakan Anda.

Dalam nama Yesus, ya Allah Roh Kudus ajarkanlah saya akan kebenaran firman dan mampukan saya untuk mengetahui dan mengerti kebenaran, sehingga saya boleh hidup merdeka mengikuti rencana Allah bagi hidupku. Amin.

God’s word today:

“Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the TRUTH will set you FREE.””
(John 8:31-32 NLT)

“The Truth Will Set You Free” is a common saying in academic circles to promote that in the academic world there is a power of learning that frees people from old ways of thinking (which may be unproductive) to lead a better life. Many universities have this statement. But “the truth will set you free” does not originate in the world of academic, but from Jesus Christ the Lord, but they only quote part of it.

The statement “The Truth Will Set You Free”, listen it again carefully because this statement is not yet complete in setting us free.
Note again: “you will KNOW THE TRUTH, and the truth will set you free.”
So, the truth of God’s word THAT YOU KNOW (which is accepted, believed and written in your heart), THAT KNOWN TRUTH that will set you free.

In the name of Jesus, o Holy Spirit of God teach me the truth of God’s word and enable me to know and understand the truth, so that I can live in freefom following God’s plan for my life. Amen.
