Daily Bread: Resurrected To Life

Shalom 😇 to all.
Firman Allah hari ini:

“Maka masygullah pula hati Yesus, lalu Ia pergi ke kubur itu. Kubur itu adalah sebuah gua yang ditutup dengan batu. Kata Yesus: ”Angkat batu itu!” Marta, saudara orang yang meninggal itu, berkata kepada-Nya: ”Tuhan, ia SUDAH BERBAU, sebab sudah EMPAT HARI ia mati.””
‭‭(Yohanes‬ ‭11‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭TB‬‬)

Kepercayaan mistik di budaya Yahudi mengajarkan bahwa roh orang yang meninggal tetap berada di sekitar tubuhnya hingga tiga hari setelah kematian sebelum rohnya pergi selamanya.
Kepercayaan ini dikenal di Israel 2.000 tahun yang lalu pada zaman Yesus bahwa seseorang yang meninggal masih dapat bangkit dan hidup kembali selama periode 3 hari ini tetapi tidak bisa setelah lewat 3 hari. Sebab pada hari keempat, rohnya meninggalkan tubuh dan pergi ke Sheol atau Hades (alam orang mati), jadi tidak ada harapan untuk dibangkitkan kembali tanpa mukjizat. Selain itu, pada hari keempat di iklim panas di tanah Israel, pembusukan akan cepat menghancurkan tubuh dan akan ada bau busuk yang sangat menyengat. Dan Martha mengakui situasi ini, “Tuhan, ia SUDAH BERBAU, sebab sudah EMPAT HARI ia mati.”

Ketika Yesus membangkitkan Lazarus pada hari keempat kematiannya dan di saat yang sama juga menyembuhkan mayatnya yang membusuk dan bau, itu adalah pernyataan Yesus bahwa Dialah Mesias yang diharapkan dan ditunggu-tunggu oleh orang-orang Yahudi. Kemudian orang-orang mengetahui dan menjadi percaya bahwa Dialah Mesias yang sejati, karena Yesus melakukan mukjizat yang nyata seperti yang telah dinubuatkan oleh para nabi!
“Banyak di antara orang-orang Yahudi yang datang melawat Maria dan yang menyaksikan sendiri apa yang telah dibuat Yesus, percaya kepada-Nya.”
‭‭(Yohanes‬ ‭11‬:‭45‬ ‭TB‬‬)

Saya percaya bahwa Yesus Kristus adalah Mesias sejati, Putra Allah yang hidup. Yesus adalah Juruselamat saya. Amin.

God’s word today:

“Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a BAD ODOR, for he has been there FOUR DAYS.””
‭‭(John‬ ‭11‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

Jewish mysticism teaches that a deceased person’s spirit remains around the body for up to three days after death before departing.
This belief was well-known in Israel 2,000 years ago during the time of Jesus that someone deceased could come back to life during this 3-day period but not afterwards. Then on the fourth day, the spirit left the body and went to Sheol or Hades, so there was no hope for resurrected to life without a miracle. Also, by the fourth day in Israel’s hot climate, advanced decay would be destroying the body and the stench would have been overwhelming. And Martha acknowledged this situation, “BY THIS TIME there is a BAD ODOR, for he has been there four days.”

When Jesus called Lazarus to life from the dead on the fourth day of his death and at the same time healed his rotted corpse, it was a declaration by Jesus that He was the Messiah that the jews were expecting and waiting. Then the people knew that He was the true Messiah, for Jesus performed a genuine miracle as the prophets had foretold!
“Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him.”
‭‭(John‬ ‭11‬:‭45‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

I believe that Jesus Christ is the true Messiah, the Son of the living God. Jesus is my savior. Amen.
